Where are the lessons held?
Lessons are typically held at the student's home. In the instance where this isn't possible, we will try to organise a neutral location (e.g. a library) where the lesson can take place.
When are the lessons held?
1-to-1 lessons will typically hold a fixed time slot until the agreement is changed.
What can we expect from your tutors?
All of our tutors will be qualified teachers or university graduates.
Do you work in line with the National Curriculum?
Yes, all of our tutors will have a strong understanding to following the National Curriculum, ensuring our teaching methods are in line with what your child is being taught in school.
Should my child take the 11+?
Typically, the 11+ is for students that show a solid knowledge of Maths and English. Children that are looking at hitting Level 5 by the end of Key Stage 2 would be strong candidates to push for the 11+.
What does passing the 11+ lead to?
By passing the 11+, your child could gain access to Torquay Boys or Girls Grammar School, Churston Ferrers Grammar School, Spires or Colyton Grammar School. These schools are among the highest rated schools in the country, rated as Outstanding by OFSTED.
Would my child benefit from group or 1-to-1 tuition?
We believe that every child learns in a different way. Our 11+ group sessions will offer a varied style of learning to an individual lesson, providing a stronger social experience, with opportunities to make new friends whilst developing your skills. Our individual sessions are the best choice for those students who may be falling below the national average and require a boost, or for those that simply would benefit more from the tutor's full focus and assistance.
What if I need to cancel a lesson or mock exam?
We ask you to let us know as soon as you can. We run a 24-hour policy, whereby any cancellations will still be charged fully, subject to management discretion.
