Monthly round-up: June 2020

The month of June normally signals the peak of the exam season, with many students taking their GCSE or A-Level exams, hoping that their efforts have been enough to take them onto the next stage of their journey, whether that be sixth form, college or university. This June has been very different for everyone, not just the education sector.

We have been extremely busy through June so far. More and more students are continuing their education online in order to continue their development and learning as much as they can. It is great to be able to continue to assist young people as they prepare for a return to school in September.

We were also very interested to see the National Tutoring Programme unveiled by the government, in an attempt to help as many young people as possible who have been left unable to do work while out of school. With details thin on the ground, we are keeping a close eye on how this will develop over the coming weeks.

With the lockdown looking like it will be eased further in the next few weeks, we are considering a return to face-to-face tuition, socially-distanced of course, so we will hope to have some more information on this once we know more from the government. We have plenty of new ideas up our sleeve that we will be looking to implement over the coming weeks and months.

As of tomorrow, however, we are taking some time off, returning to work on Monday 6th July. Once again, we would just like to say a huge thank you to all of our students and parents that have continued to support us through this period, and we are already excited to pick up from where we left off when we return in July.

Stay safe everyone,
