Monthly round-up: May 2020

I surely am not alone in wondering how quickly we are racing through this year! We have been treated to some gorgeous weather over the last few weeks, and hopefully this will remain through the summer as we begin the tentative steps out of lockdown.

Through May, we have been offering students in Key Stage 2 the chance to continue their learning through a range of Maths webinars linked to the objectives within the National Curriculum. The webinars were designed to encourage confidence in a number of different topics, and a list of these can be found on our website:

Each webinar lasts between 10-20 minutes, and we have recorded every session. We are now pleased to make these recordings available for purchase, so that you can watch them in your own time and at your own pace.

Alongside the webinars, we have been very busy with individual tuition, with a number of students continuing their lessons online, which has been great and allowed for consistency through this period. We have a limited number of weekly slots still available if this is something that you are interested in.

Finally, towards the end of May, we did a short interview with Boost Torbay, who had some thought-provoking questions about what we do. This was good fun to reflect on and get some of our thoughts down onto paper. The full interview can be found here:

As ever, we'd like to thank all of our students and families for their continued efforts and support during this time - it has been a pleasure to continue teaching, albeit in a different way, and we are planning to continue teaching throughout the summer months until September, when hopefully we will be much closer to normality.

Keep well and stay safe,
